Released in 1986, the Competition All Terrain ‘CAT’ was dubbed the first serious 4×4 1/10th racer to be made in the UK. The first in a long line of CATs and the start of an RC racing legacy. This Iconic 1/10th scale 4WD off road buggy set new standards for innovative design in the 1980s, and took the 1987 4WD World Championship title with ease, subsequently winning the European championships in 1990, 1994, 1995 and 1996.

Aluminum Rims for Vintage Schumacher cat SWB XL XLS Procat
Team Schumacher Cat SX Ceramic Ball Bearing Kit by World Champions ACER Racing

This was the start of the most iconic Shumacher buggy EVER, in my honest opinion and still today carries the CAT name. Yes it stands for “competition all terrain”, but i like to think of it more like the real cat, it always lands on its feet! well. more often than not haha…… This was my love. quickly changed to the LWB version as this one was very very twitchy, but on a tight twisty track, it was totally unbeatable. the lwb made it so much more stable they made the next version, the XLS, that being the best yet.
Love this model. Totally……
Close to the best of the Vintage r/c race cars in my opinion. Never had one, but always was on the wish list & still is.
