At the beginning of the 1980s this was a trend setting, 1/8 scale beast of an engine powered 4WD buggy. Side winder and chain drive, disk brakes, double trailing front suspension, semi trailing rear suspension. A real landmark in RC.

Just a superb buggy, and an engineering marvel. Weighs the same as a small volkswagen but boy are these iconic…
I got my first landjump in the early 80′s and what an awesome piece of kit. I recall at the age of around sixteen driving around my local school playing field when suddenly it went out of control and set off full throttle. I gave chase lol (must have thought I was carl lewis) as it headed for a wall luckily it hit a house brick which it turned to dust but flipped it upside down. Just had to straighten bumper and get a new front hub. The thing was run hard and fast and given some brutal treatment. I recently started to restore it as it was my first. I have had the frame powder coated box art yellow and it looks the dogs. I have a few more and intend to do those as time and money permits.
cool
Awesome wayne, let me know if you ever want to part with a landjump project? By the way my apollo is running a bit rough, what page is the thruster section in the haynes manual? and does it have a section on the reg plate bulb …mines a gonna, LOL
