** No more entries please. @justin & @john are currently having the nightmare of picking the best 12!
This year we thought we’d do something a little different to all the other RC websites in the run up to Christmas and give all our members, yes you guys, the chance to show off your fantastic RC cars and star in the very first Iconic RC Calendar!
Personally I’m getting bored with Top Gear and Kylie Calendars, ok well maybe not Kylie, but John & I thought it’s time we did something a little more tailored to the RC enthusiast and create our own featuring our members cars. So here’s the low down on how it will work:
Between now, that’s the 19th October 2011 and the 15th November 2011, we want you to submit your entries for the 2012 Iconic RC Calendar. The image must contain at least one car you consider to be iconic. This does not have to be vintage, it just needs to mean something to you… i.e. your first car, your favourite basher, one you won a race with, one that brings back good memories… just something that’s special to you. It could be an action shot, it could be a stationary shot where you’ve captured the scale look of the vehicle. You don’t have to be a pro-photographer, we’re just looking for shots you’re proud of. Ideally, if your shot fits into some kind of seasonal theme, i.e. Snow or Beach for the winter and summer months that’s a bonus, but, it doesn’t have to at all… Just enter a pic you’re proud of.
After the closing date, John & I will sort through all the entries and sort out which will be used for which month, and depending on how many we get, we’ll maybe have a montage or two in there too to give as many entrants as possible a crack at featuring in the calendar.
Once the pics have been chosen, the calendar will then be made available through an online Photo Retailer, hopefully at a decent discount (we’re working on this to get the price as low as possible for everyone, so orders can be placed in time for Christmas delivery.
How to upload your photos…
Entries should be as high a resolution as possible, so please submit the original picture if you can. This ensures that when the calendar is printed, your pics will come out in a good a quality as possible. You can upload directly through the form below, or if you’re having troubles with it, don’t break into a sweat, you can email your pic to us instead at email@example.com and either John or I will add it to the gallery on your behalf 🙂
We’ll check over the entries before they’re published on this page so please check back an hour or so after your upload and your photo should appear.
Sorry – No more entries now thank you 🙂 We’ve got plenty!
