    Hey all,
Been away way too long! Sometimes life just get in the way I guess. I will be posting some new pics shortly about what I have been doing and checking in on what the rest of you have been up to.

  • BTW,
With all the recent repro decal hi-jinks lately any body know where to turn for them now? I have some originals and just ordered a couple of test shots from a couple of the far east sellers but in the past the only good stuff came from the UK. If I like the quality of these others I will let you know and where to find them.

  • Think I need to build something buggy like, Got a bunch of old JT and CRP stuff and some ??? well I don’t know who made it. I think I should do a retro racer, I will get some pics up soon! Keep them alive!!!

In reply to: John posted an update: Big big thank you to @oldwilly for leaving some great comments on our Iconic Car pages for Vintage Tamiya. :-D View

    Hi John,
Glad to help out, I just want to support this and make it the best site we can. I use to have this R/C sickness pretty bad a long while back. I thought I was over it but looks like I am having a relapse……….and that is just fine with me!!!! I will keep commenting when my memory allows. Happy Christmas or what ever you prefer to all!!!!

    • This site is all about content from our community so everything is appreciated :-)
We cater for lots of RC brands and eras on here but my personal passion is Tamiya 58001 to 58100. I definitely have the sickness! :-) Merry Chistmas

OK, that is the coolest thing I have seen in a long time!!! Always loved the Stratos and it must just fly on that chassis! Very nice work indeed..

  • Great design, Even almost 20 years later this thing is still competitive, still looks right sitting on the line, waiting……. For racing Tamiya got it right with this one, try it and see for yourself……

  • nothing!

  • Completely over enginered and wonderful!! Very Tamiya, when they want to, they can come up with something incredible, technicly speaking. Just look at the pieces, looks so high tech, lots of alloy and carbon fibre and in 1988 to boot. In practice it was a bit of handfull, perhaps to comlicated to be competitive but [...]

  • The only true monster truck!!! 4X4X4 !! All the others looked the part but fell short when it came time to crush things. This thing was a real blast to drive over things in the back yard. Ultamately this is one of the trucks that started the whole R/C crawler movement and for that fact [...]

  • This one was just a bit better than the Porsche 959 with the center diff and for a car produced in 1987 it is a bloody rocket! At 1/12th scale it looks really tiny sitting there then it just blasts off, handles well but they got knocked around alot so bodys are super rare, there [...]

  • Still love this one, still run one. The SRB MkII you could say. The rear suspention was very unique and still is. I don’t think it worked as well as the ads would have you believe, and it was way too heavy for serious competition but it looks great is a fun build and with [...]

  • The classic American Chevy truck on the original 3 speed chassis what a great combo. Not as popular as the Toyata, perhaps that is why they comnd the price they do. I really need to get mine together, been gathering bits for a long time perhaps I should get to it. Can’t believe someone is [...]

  • I wanted this SOOOO BADDDD when I was a kid, the price was out of the question. I saw a working cutaway demo chassis at the hobby expo and was hooked, this was a real truck 4X4 chassis! It was my holy grail! It took almost 20 years to get a complete one but I [...]

  • Well it’s just a bastard isn’t it? Great Ford f-150 body sitting on a ….Volkswagen!???? What were they thinking but it was the last of the original SRB chassised stuff. great wheel and tire set but a Ford body on a VW????

  • Well being a certified dune buggy nut this one has always had a special place for me. I have built several, some to match friends real Manx’s and still have one I use as a runner and one that is NIB. Ok, so it was not the best car they ever built but it runs [...]

  • First one from Tamiya for ” the Kids” very popular due to its price and prformance. Body was made from some very durable softer plastic too bad it would not take paint but just add the decals and off you go. Driver spoting a cool cowboy hat just sets it off right!

  • Well that intro pretty much covers it, it was the first really successful R/C off-road buggy, independent suspension based on the VW prototype, working shocks, sealed radio box, that ment for this one to get dirty, I know mine did!! Yes it weighed a ton and the run times were short but it was just [...]

  • The second offering in CS series, same good chassis with a new body, but What a great shape! I Toyota Celica built up to take on Porsche 935′s !!! Did fairly wel too from what I have read. Two great decal options. Just a cool looking early R/C car. Looks great on the shelf and [...]

  • Well it is a very detailed model of a very iconic car of its day. The decals are for the personal car of Walter Wolf the pricipal of the Wolf F-1 team and a Candian!!! A Canadian! need I say more!!!!
