Cool Brat, Just going to build one myself. Did you paint the white walls on the tyres by hand?

had trouble with sand in the esc fan. Going to the beech soon and will try my blackfoot extreme. I was looking at some of you picks. Do you own a Pajero I am thinking of getting one as a budget crawler?

I made a simple fan cover for mine with some of that fine aluminium mesh you get for repairing rust holes in 1:1 car bodies. Halfords sell it, but you can get it cheaper from independent car spares places.
Yes I have a Pajero. It’s not bad at all, but you’ll need to modify it quite a bit to get better performance. Stock motor is too fast. Stock…[Read more]

Might actually be thinking of selling it as I’d really like a Honcho or Dingo.

Nice shot! You can’t beat the beach for running any Tamiya! Such scope for some wicked home-made ramps!

yes a bit but I run slightly larger diameter wheels and tyres from blacksmith which helps chassis slap and improves speed also. to stop this and to give even more speed try slaping on some blackfoot or similar whell/tyres its mental, the larger diameter really increases speed almost to much. I have a 12 turn in at the minute. I must admit I try…[Read more]

Cool action shots. Looking good with new wheels

Cheers @wizywilspin. Ran well with the 17 turn motor too. Needs stiffer shock springs on it though. Chassis slaps the ground a bit hard when it lands… always has. Is you’re like that too?

Its wicked fast. I actually went for the max 22 tooth pinion and a 67 tooth spur gear to get max top speed. And the motor has been fine. Done 35 mph via gps speedo. And a nimh 4500. Next i will go for a 5.5 turn motor and a lipo, have never had one yet. To see how fast it can go. Smashed it up the other week head on into a curb at full pelt,…[Read more]

Cheers. I didn’t actually paint the tyre lettering myself, bought the Brat as it is, but yes, the tyre lettering is done by hand. You could use a very small brush or a cocktail stick and apply the paint using those or you can buy paint pens that are supposed to be suitable for the job but I’m not sure how good they are.
